Why the Gospel’s Exclusivity Is Compelling

In a world brimming with inspiring messages promising fulfillment, custom-designed to accommodate our preferences and predispositions, how is it that the message of the cross—offensive, scandalous, foolish— still captures the spiritual imagination and commands such magnetic response? What is it about this historic announcement that makes it so repellent to some and yet so compelling to others? In this workshop based on John 10:22–30, we’ll see that even though so many claim that making the faith more inclusive will increase its ranks, the provocative exclusivity of the gospel actually wins souls to Jesus.
